Installing NegBreaker
- Download the DMG using the button above.
- Open NegBreaker.dmg and drag the app into your Applications folder.
- Launch it. The first time, right-click the app and choose Open so macOS lets it run.
- Drop in a scan — a single frame, a strip, or a whole roll — and watch it flip to a positive.
System requirements
A Mac running macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later. You'll need your negatives already digitised — a flatbed scan, a dedicated film scanner, or a camera/DSLR scan on a light table all work. New to scanning conversion? Read the guide to converting film negatives to positives.
